GENESIS

Time is my philosophy.

I started to take an interest in “time-specific” watches at a young age. The philosophy of time and the interpretation given to it have always intrigued me. One of my dreams was to master time and be able to travel there with a machine … but due to the lack of technology to travel in space-time, I quickly oriented myself in watchmaking and the mystery of gears, as well, than in beautiful mechanics.

I became self-employed very quickly, at the age of 24, and I created my first company TERMITIME in 2008, dedicated to the complication and development of watch products.

Over the years, I have gained experience in the creation of timepieces, as a designer of high-end and atypical products.

Then the brands pushed me to talk about my passion as well as my expertise in advising potential clients around me.

This is how in 2018 I created SOVA.swiss. This allows me to show a variation of unique and exceptional products, whether in watchmaking or mechanical art.

Quite naturally, in 2020, clients asked me to create a brand specific to my avant-garde and high-tech inspirations. This is how I created with my colleague Vincent Walther, the brand TR-X.Swiss.

My goal in SOVA.swiss, is to provide my expertise as a designer of luxury products, as well to have the legitimacy to advise enthusiasts or curious people, on watchmaking and mechanical art.

GENESIS

The story of a passion.

My passion started very early at the age of 23, first in the wonderful world of jewelry with my first Master Christophe Dutriat in Bordeaux, where I have the chance to make adornments for clients from Locaux up to at Place Vendôme.

Then meeting in Bordeaux watchmaker reminds me of the wonder I had as a child behind the watchmaking workbench of Mr Moglia, the Charleville-Mézières watchmaker and jeweler.

So I decided to resume watchmaking training in France and then in Switzerland.
After my studies in watchmaking, I was able to integrate one of the largest Manufacture of watches with great complications, Christophe Claret, at Le Locle, which gives me the chance to be part of the team, it is with these exchanges between designer, prototypist, machineur that the creation of unique pieces for Bovet, Delaneau, Guy Ellia etc… have emerged.

After some time with the Manufacture Claret, where I gained very good experience in complication watches, I quickly set up on my own.

Due to my experience in jewelry and complications, clients and brands like “Louis Moinet, Bulgari, Tiret, Icelandic, Cecil Purnell” asked me to create products that could dazzle the eyes of enthusiasts.

In 2008, La Marque de Luxe Parmigiani asked me to put together a complications development team to invent and produce exceptional timepieces and to follow the restoration team. The Dragon being one of the timepieces that brings together the skills of the team and my former partners.

Since 2013, I have been taking up totally different creations at Termitime, where I allow myself to leave the traditional paths by creating a giant El Priméro, pieces of automaton art with François Junod at Saint-Croix, and other complications for other prestigious brands.
During my experience in Termitime, I created the art’clock concept, mechanical art paintings, which will be declined in the TR-X.swiss brand later, with our entire team.

Today, my passions are watchmaking creation in Switzerland, training in our profession and, above all, supporting passionate and curious customers in Sova.swiss.

For me, watchmaking is a demonstration of human imagination and virtuosity.
